Defence Housing Australia (DHA) sells a selection of properties to private investors under a leaseback arrangement in order to supplement housing supply for the Australian Defence Force. These properties are subject to annual rental reviews conducted by DHA valuers. If dissatisfied with the rental valuation supplied by the DHA, lessors can obtain their own valuation and invoke secondary review provisions. This is where Vanguard Valuations can be of assistance.

What is Involved?
Vanguard Valuations has a streamlined process for DHA rental reviews. The process is as follows:

1.Initial consultation: Email your DHA rental review request to info@vanguardvaluations.com.au (we will attend to your email enquiries within 24 hours) or call us on 02 8999 1090 to speak to a Certified Professional Valuer, who will be your point of contact throughout the process lifecycle. During this stage, we will take your instruction and make the necessary enquiries. We will then tailor an approach to meet your specific needs. A quote will be provided before we commence.

2.Asset inspection: We will arrange an appointment to inspect your asset, at a time that suits you. We will also obtain any relevant plans or documents significant to our valuation process.

3.Research and Reporting: We understand that knowledge is the key to accuracy. Our team of specialists utilise a completely rational and scientific evidence-based approach to our valuations. We will then outline our findings in a comprehensive valuation report.

4.Delivery: Once we receive payment, the completed valuation report will be issued. If you are satisfied with the outcome of our report, you can forward the report to the DHA Housing Management Centre.

5.Consultation with DHA Valuers: We will reach a joint agreement on the final valuation with DHA valuers. DHA valuers are expected to provide a response within 10 working days of any queries.
